We extend that respect to all First Nations people and celebrate their rich culture, diversity, resilience and traditional knowledge of caring for Country. We are committed to building meaningful relationships and working in collaboration with our Aboriginal brothers and sisters. Australian Native Wattleseed acknowledges that the history of this land is complex and that there is a need for reconciliation and healing. We acknowledge the devastating impact of colonisation on First Nations people and that sovereignty was never ceded. We recognise the need for indigenous and non-indigenous people to work together for a brighter future. Australian Native Wattleseed is working closely with the Gunditjmara community. We arelearning from each other, working together on wattle seed and caring for Country. We seek ways to promote Gunditjmara language and culture. We acknowledge wattle seed hasstrong cultural value and has been a food source for the Gunditjmara people (and Indigenous Australians more broadly) for thousands of years.
